Carrot Halwa

Yesterday was our 7th monthly anniversary. So, I tried this sweet for my husband.

Learnt From:

I learnt this sweet from net.

Serving for:

You can serve for 2 and you can adjust it for 3.

Ingredients:

Carrot --- 4 big (or) Grated Carrot --- 2 cups or 500 ml

Milk --- 1 cup or 250 ml
Sugar --- ½ cup or 125 ml
Ghee --- 5 tsp or 25 ml
Cashew nuts --- 7-8

Process:

Peel the skin of the carrot.
Cut the bottom of the carrot… don’t cut the head of the head.
Grate the carrot on a grater by holding the head of the carrot.

Boil the milk in a thick vessel.
Add grated carrot.

Stir it occasionally.
Add sugar and ghee when the carrot losses its rawness or when it is 3/4th done.
Stir it continuously as becomes thicker.
Cook till it comes together and thick.

In a pan add one tsp of ghee and fry cashew nuts.
Garnish cashew nuts on the halwa.

Very simple to prepare… only grating carrot is the deal.
